History
Vigna degli Estensi was founded in 2009 by Stefano Bondanelli and Laura Fagioli, a couple from Ferrara who left the old Este capital for the Marche hills - the name recalls their Emilian, Estense origins.
The small, modern winery sits at Roncitelli, a hamlet of Senigallia (AN), surrounded by about 3 hectares planted mainly to the local Lacrima grape, complemented by a 2-hectare parcel of older Verdicchio vines a few kilometres away.
Farming is fully organic, and the estate makes nine labels - roughly 20,000 bottles a year - centred on Lacrima di Morro d'Alba and Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, including a Brut Rosé sparkler from Lacrima.
