Podere sul Lago

History

Podere sul Lago is a small family winery built by Sandrino Quadraroli at Serrapetrona, in the upper Chienti valley at around five hundred metres between Lake Borgiano and the peaks of the Sibillini.

Its four hectares, planted in 1999 on clay, sand and limestone, are given over to the Vernaccia Nera — the black grape found nowhere else in the world — from which the estate makes around ten thousand bottles a year, among them the 'Torcular' and 'Lacus'.
