History

Created in 1949 by the union of the Fazi and Battaglia families in a small cellar at Cupramontana.

In 1956 it moved to a larger modern plant at Castelplanio and expanded its vineyard holdings.

The amphora-shaped bottle, from a 1953 competition won by architect Antonio Maiocchi, made Verdicchio known worldwide; the Angelini family now owns the estate.
