History

The Cantina Sociale dei Colli Ripani was founded at Ripatransone in 1969 and made its first vintage in 1977, on the Colle San Nicolo above the town.

Its member growers work some eleven hundred hectares, and it makes the Rosso Piceno Superiore Castellano, the Offida Rosso Leo Ripano and the 508 selection of native Piceno wines.
