History
The Nobili family's winemaking history in Valtellina's Inferno subzone is documented back to 1591. Nicola Nobili took over the family estate in January 2001, expanding production while keeping the traditional terraced vineyards between Poggiridenti and Sondrio.
Wines are vinified in the family's Poggiridenti cellar and aged in a newer cellar in Ponte in Valtellina, housed in a 16th-century former Jesuit convent, where wines rest in large oak casks for at least three years.
