History
The Moraschi family had grown grapes in Capriolo since the 1800s, but it was brothers Oliviero and Giuseppe Moraschi who, in the early 1990s, began estate-bottling their own fruit into sparkling wine rather than selling grapes.
Convinced they could better express their terroir independently, the brothers converted the six-hectare property to organic farming; the estate is now run by Matteo Moraschi, continuing the family's Franciacorta production.
