History
Rizzini Franciacorta traces to 1985, when Guido Rizzini's father planted the first rows of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco next to the family home in Monticelli Brusati.
The first bottles were an experiment; by 1994 the estate released its first official Franciacorta DOCG, and today Guido Rizzini continues to make small-batch, only-vintage-dated wines from the family's single 2.2-hectare vineyard with low yields and spontaneous fermentations.
