History

Giovanni Fratus came home from working in Switzerland and Germany to found La Riccafana at Cologne in 1973, restoring the vineyards and an old farmhouse; his son Riccardo turned it fully organic in 2002.

From about eighteen hectares they make organic Franciacorta.
