History

Panizzari was founded in 1898 by Angelo Panizzari as a small farming and winemaking business at San Colombano al Lambro, the isolated hill that forms Milan's only DOC.

Passed down through the generations, the family estate now works around 40 hectares (some 37 under vine), staying close to local tradition while adopting sustainable practices.

It specialises in the wines of the San Colombano hill and the wider Pavese - Verdea, San Colombano DOC reds from Croatina and Bonarda, and Metodo Classico sparkling - and in 2001 opened an agriturismo in its old barrel cellars.
