History

Montelio was founded in 1848 by Angelo Domenico Mazza on land vine-grown since the 13th century; his great-nieces Caterina and Giovanna Brazzola run it today.

An independent grower (FIVI member) in the eastern Oltrepo Pavese, it makes still and sparkling Oltrepo Pavese DOC wines, about 120,000 bottles a year.
