Records of the Montina manor go back to 1620, when it belonged to the Montini family, ancestors of Pope Paul VI.

The brothers Vittorio, Gian Carlo and Alberto Bozza founded the modern winery, completed in April 1987.

It has grown to about 72 hectares of Franciacorta vineyard.
