Fondo Bozzole

History

Fondo Bozzole is an organic estate in Poggio Rusco, in the flat Oltrepò Mantovano east of Mantua, run by brothers Franco and Mario Accorsi together with their father Renzo.

Like most farms in the area it was primarily a dairy operation until the early 1980s, when it began phasing out livestock and specializing in viticulture, with the 'Bozzole Vecchie' plots among the first locally to treat vines as a serious cultural pursuit.

Working to low-impact methods, the estate reached wider recognition in 2007 with its now-signature 'Giano', a Lambrusco Mantovano DOC.
