History
Dirupi was founded in 2004 by Davide 'Faso' Fasolini and Pierpaolo Di Franco, friends since childhood who reconnected over winemaking at the University of Milan. Without family vineyards, they rented terraced sites across Valtellina and set out to revive its heroic viticulture.
They built holdings across famed subzones such as Grumello and Inferno, working from a 16th-century palazzo at Ponte in Valtellina.
The estate earned organic certification for its first wines in 2015 and is now fully certified organic, a benchmark for a new generation of Valtellina.
