History
Comincioli has farmed at Puegnago, in the Valtènesi hills above Lake Garda's Brescian shore, since 1552, with Gianfranco Comincioli, his wife Elisabetta and sons Roberto and Andrea representing the 14th generation.
Its holdings, spread across the village's hamlets, run to 11 hectares of vineyard and 10 of olive grove, vine and olive being the classic resources of this terraced landscape.
Groppello, the noble grape of the Valtènesi, is vinified alongside Sangiovese, Marzemino and Barbera into wines such as Sulèr, Gropèl, Zephiro, Castèl, Diamante and Perlì, while Comincioli's stone-pitted (denocciolato) extra-virgin olive oils are counted among the world's finest.
