History
Azienda Agricola Caven Camuna was founded in 1982 by brothers Stefano and Simone Nera, sons of fellow Valtellina winemaker Pietro Nera, taking its name from the Caven locality where the estate is headquartered, an area once inhabited by the ancient Camunni people.
With roughly 30 hectares under vine between owned and managed land, the estate ranks among the largest wine-growing operations by surface area in Valtellina, cultivating Nebbiolo across the prestigious Inferno, Sassella, Grumello and Valgella subzones.
