History

Cà del Vent was founded in 1994 out of a desire to make singular wines, in the Campiani Hills natural park of Cellatica at 300-400 metres, on the eastern border of Franciacorta.

It made its first Franciacorta in 2001 but soon left the denomination to pursue its own, more rigorous Metodo Classico protocol expressing site and vintage; since 2015 it has followed that protocol and joined the VinNatur association.

Just 6.5 hectares are worked entirely by hand across 11 distinct crus on chalky-clay soils, harvested separately at very low yields of under a kilo of grapes per vine.
