History
Rocca Vinealis was born from the idea of four friends — Amedeo Fracchia, Davide Bosio, Paolo Anelli and Stefano Perugini — who, after Liguria released new planting rights in late 2015, set out to make wine at Roccavignale in the Bormida valley of the Savona hinterland. The estate takes its name from the old name of the village.
The Societa Agricola RoccaVinealis was formally established in spring 2016; the partners planted some twenty thousand vines and, from the 2018-2019 harvests, released their first Granaccia — a little over a thousand bottles at the start. Their red and rosato, built on the local Granaccia, are bottled as Colline Savonesi IGT.
