History

The family's roots go back to the late 19th century when Isidoro Basso, nicknamed 'Doro' (Durìn in dialect, which names the estate), farmed a small plot in the Arroscia valley; his son Angelo planted the first vines in the 1920s.

Antonio Basso, third generation, formally established the present estate in 1978, building it up with his wife Laura.

Known for Pigato and Vermentino and for sparkling wines aged in the archaeological caves of Toirano.
