History
Cantine Calleri has made the typical wines of the Riviera di Ponente since 1968, from the Calleri family home at Salea d'Albenga.
Umberto Calleri was among the pioneers who, in the 1960s, believed in the Pigato grape and worked to raise its quality; in 1982 he rebuilt the old family building into a modern cellar. The estate still centres on Pigato, alongside Vermentino and Rossese.
