History

Villa Simone was founded in 1982 by Piero Costantini, a Rome wine merchant of Marche ancestry, who bought the abandoned Cardinal Pallotta estate at Monte Porzio Catone to make a serious Frascati.

He replanted with quality varieties such as Malvasia del Lazio on low-yield espalier systems.

Today the estate is run by the oenologist Lorenzo Costantini; the Vigneto Filonardi is a signature single vineyard.
