History
Cantine Massimi was built by Franco Massimi out of a passion for the Piglio territory and its native Cesanese grape, growing within a few years into one of the larger estates in the Cesanese del Piglio DOCG zone.
The winery produces a range of Cesanese del Piglio bottlings including Buttuti, Castrum Pileum, Herna and the riserva Cispio, alongside sparkling Passerina and other Lazio wines.
