History
Cantina Villafranca was founded in 1909 by the Gasperini family, who acquired the estate's land from the noble Chigi family and still run the winery today.
After passing to Luigi and Renato in the postwar years, the winery was expanded further by Felice and Salvatore Gasperini from 1972, who set up one of the first bottling lines in the Castelli Romani at the Albano Laziale cellar.
