History
Azienda Agricola Artico began in the late 1990s, when Federico Artico's father bought the first plots at Aprilia, on the border between the Agro Pontino plain and the Castelli Romani.
The estate has grown to about 11 hectares - 9 planted and 2 of woodland - in the Aprilia DOC, one of Lazio's historic denominations (recognised 1966) built on Trebbiano, Sangiovese and Merlot.
Federico Artico now makes around 45,000 bottles a year across nine different labels.
