History

In 1734 Carlo di Borbone colonized Ponza and granted the Fieno area to Pietro Migliaccio of Ischia, who brought the island varieties Biancolella, Forastera, Guarnaccia, Aglianico and Piedirosso.

Antiche Cantine Migliaccio was founded in 2000 by Luciana Sabino and Emanuele Vittorio, a Migliaccio descendant, who rescued these ungrafted old vines on the sea-facing terraces of Punta Fieno; their Fieno di Ponza is a heroic-viticulture island white.
