History
I Clivi was founded in 1996 by Ferdinando Zanusso, a Veneto native and admirer of French wine who, on returning from travels in Africa, bought a small vineyard in Brazzano di Cormons, his wife's home village in the Collio.
Together with his son Mario he later acquired the Galea vineyard at Corno di Rosazzo in the Colli Orientali del Friuli and built the winery there, focused on old, native-variety vines farmed as naturally as possible across both Collio and Colli Orientali sites.
