History

Domenico Marinig planted the first vines at Prepotto in the 1800s; his heir Paolino opened the old cellar in the 1920s and from the 1970s championed the native vines, winning the Risit d'Aur in 1981 for a new Schioppettino vineyard.

On about twelve hectares the family makes above all the Schioppettino di Prepotto.
