History
The estate at Capriva goes back to records of the 1200s and was long a seat of Friuli nobility; the entrepreneur Loretto Pali bought the castle in 1987 and turned it into a wine estate with park, cellars and hospitality.
From over eighty hectares of owned vineyard, twenty-eight of them in the Collio, they make the Collio whites and reds, including the Pinot Nero Casanova.
