History

Le Rocche Malatestiane has carried the name of the Malatesta, lords of Rimini from the 13th to the 15th century, since 1959, when it was formed by the merger of the Cantina Sociale Riminese and the Cantina Sociale Valconca.

Today the cooperative groups some 800 growers across the province of Rimini and produces around 700,000 bottles a year from about 35 labels.

Sangiovese leads, alongside Romagnol natives like Rebola, Pagadebit and Biancame; its 'Tre Miracoli' Sangiovese became the only cooperative wine to earn Gambero Rosso's Tre Bicchieri.
