History
Azienda Agricola Il Casello was founded in the mid-1950s and has always been run by the Rigolli family, at Bacedasco Basso in the comune of Vernasca (PC).
Its 18 hectares of Guyot-trained vineyard sit at around 250 metres in the Colli Piacentini, the westernmost hills of Emilia-Romagna.
The estate makes the classic Piacenza wines - the red Gutturnio (still and frizzante), Barbera and Bonarda, and the whites Ortrugo and Malvasia in dry and sweet versions.
