History
Gradizzolo is a small Colli Bolognesi estate at Monteveglio (comune of Valsamoggia), where the Ognibene family has grown vines since the early 1900s.
In 1973 Antonio Ognibene took over from his father and set the estate on a course of respect for tradition and the land, farming biodynamically across seven hectares that include vines well over a hundred years old.
Antonio works the vineyards and cellar with his son Gianluca, while wife Marisa and daughter Chiara run a farmhouse kitchen (agriturismo opened 2008); the plantings favour the area's traditional Pignoletto (Grechetto Gentile), Barbera, Negrettino and the rare Alionza.
