History
Grandfather Antonio Altariva moved from Pavullo to the Castelvetro hills in the early 1960s, trading Grasparossa in carboys.
In 1971 his son Domenico, with wife Albertina, bought 2.5 hectares and planted the family's first vineyard.
In 1991 the brothers Fausto and Fabio shifted from bulk to bottled Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro; organic since 1997.
