History

The Fugazza family, longtime landowners in the area, added the Luzzano and Romito farms to their holdings in the early 1900s for their strong winegrowing vocation.

In 1980 sisters Maria Giulia and Giovannella Fugazza began a modern transformation of the two estates, building Castello di Luzzano into one of the more qualified producers straddling Colli Piacentini and Oltrepo Pavese; archaeological finds on the property trace vine cultivation back to a Roman-era villa, the Fundus Lucianus.
