History
Cantina Mingazzini was founded in 1964 by brothers Nerio, Vittorio and Sergio Mingazzini, farmers and wine growers from the hills of Dozza Imolese who relocated to the Bologna plain at Medicina to set up their first small production facility.
The winery grew from a few hundred square meters into a plant of over 2,000 square meters and was among the first in Bologna province to adopt temperature-controlled autoclave fermentation for its sparkling wines, producing both Romagna Albana and Sangiovese.
