Alfonso Arpino, a doctor, founded Monte di Grazia at Polvica di Tramonti in 1993 to save the family's old vines, and certified it organic in 1997.

On about two and a half hectares of ungrafted centenarian vines he makes the rare Tintore red of the Amalfi Coast.
