History
Masseria Piccirillo was founded as a winery in 2001 in the San Giovanni e Paolo district of Caiazzo, in the Terre del Volturno of Caserta, adding a small agriturismo in 2008.
Run by Giovanni Piccirillo, the estate champions the native grapes the Bourbons once prized — Pallagrello Bianco, Pallagrello Nero and Casavecchia — on hills above the Volturno sheltered by the Taburno, Matese, Roccamonfina and Partenio, and makes among other things the Metodo Classico 'Prima Gioia' from Pallagrello Bianco.
