History
The Romano family have grown Aglianico at Montemarano for over 150 years, long making wine only for themselves; the estate takes its nickname from Soccorso Romano.
Commercial production began in 2005 at the urging of Soccorso's daughter and son-in-law.
The Taurasi 'Nero Né', from 35-year-old vines, is aged 24 months in Slavonian oak and a further 36 in bottle.
