The Favati family made wine for its own table from the early 20th century in the Avellino hills.

The Cesinali pressing facility was built in 1998 and the first bottled wine, a Fiano di Avellino, followed in 2000.

Brothers Piersabino and Giancarlo Favati, with Giancarlo's wife Rosanna, run the roughly 16-hectare estate today.
