History

Historia Antiqua traces its roots to 1969, when Michele Cornacchia and Margherita De Iorio began growing the classic grapes of Irpinia; the family began estate-bottling in the mid-1990s and formally launched the Historia Antiqua brand in 2006.

Today the winery is guided by Margherita De Iorio together with her children Alfonsina and Carmine Cornacchia, farming roughly 21 hectares across six Irpinia comuni and producing Taurasi, Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo alongside Falanghina and Coda di Volpe.
