History

Fratelli Urciuolo was born of a dream of Nicola Urciuolo, carried on by his sons Ciro and Antonello, who in 1992 planted their first three hectares of Fiano at Forino — a comune long known for hazelnuts and only later brought into the Fiano di Avellino fold.

The brothers gradually added vineyards at Mirabella Eclano for Taurasi and rented land across the Greco di Tufo and Fiano zones; a 2003 Gambero Rosso tasting of their Fiano and Taurasi marked them out as a promising new Irpinia name.
