History

Annibale Salerno bought thirty hectares in the Picentini hills at Montecorvino Rovella in 1978, and in 2006 — with his wife Anna and children Francesca, Giusy and Mario — began bottling under the name Casa di Baal, 'the house of Annibale'.

An oenologist and agronomist, Annibale converted about four and a half hectares from Barbera and Malvasia to Aglianico and Fiano, farming organically with biodynamic preparations and making around twenty-five thousand bottles a year, plus extra-virgin olive oil from thousands of trees.
