Falerno del Massico DOC

History

Cantine Collefasani was founded in 2007 by the Fabrocile and Verrengia families in the Fasani area of Sessa Aurunca, at the foot of the extinct Roccamonfina volcano, with the goal of reviving the historic Falerno wine of the ancient Romans in a contemporary project.

The winery's production facility in Mondragone reused a disused industrial building, and the estate now farms Falanghina for its white Falerno and Primitivo and Aglianico for its red, following the Falerno del Massico DOC disciplinare.
