Cantina Morone

History

Cantina Morone was formally established in 2011, but the project traces back to the founders' grandmother Berta, who a century earlier vinified in caves cut into the rock beneath Guardia Sanframondi's medieval castle. Grapes from the family's small hillside plots were long sold to the local cooperative before the family began estate-bottling under Eleonora Morone.

The estate is entirely organic, with four years of certification and now in conversion to biodynamic farming, growing Falanghina and Fiano for whites and Piedirosso and Sangiovese for reds on the Guardia Sanframondi hills.
