History

Serracavallo was born in the 1930s at Bisignano from the passion of Dr Demetrio Bugliari; the name recalls the site's past as a horse farm of the Sanseverino princes.

His grandson Demetrio Stancati renewed the vineyards from 1995, taking them to about 30 hectares and restoring the farmhouses.

After the 2012 harvest the estate joined the Terre di Cosenza DOP.
