History
The Scala family have owned the lands since the 1600s; in 1960 the wine business, named Santa Venere after a stream crossing the property, was established under Federico Scala (nephew of Falcone Lucifero, minister of the Royal House).
Cultivation has been organic since 1996.
Since Federico's death in 2012 his son Giuseppe has led the estate.
