History

Eleano was founded in 1991 by Nino Calice and Rino Grieco, both convinced of the quality of Aglianico del Vulture; it is now run by Rino Grieco with his daughter Francesca and Alfredo Cordisco.

The small estate farms 11 hectares across Barile, Rionero in Vulture and Melfi, making the age-worthy Aglianico 'Eleano' alongside the fresher 'Dioniso' and 'Teseo'.
