History
Cantine Sasso is one of the historic names of the Vulture, its first family cellar dating to the 1920s among the volcanic hills around Rionero and Barile.
In 1995 the winery was taken over by the Pietrafesa family, who turned it from a merchant house into an estate with its own vineyards – ten hectares of Aglianico – run alongside their other Vulture property, Tenuta Le Querce.
