History

Cantina di Venosa was founded in 1957 by 27 members through a public body for the agrarian reform of Puglia, Lucania and Molise, to enhance Aglianico del Vulture.

It built its own facilities in 1965 and expanded them in 1985; today it unites over 350 members and around 800 hectares in the birthplace of the poet Horace (Venosa).
