History

The Cascina del Colle story began in the 1950s when patriarch Gabriele D'Onofrio planted orchards, olive groves and vines on the hills near Chieti at Villamagna; his son Nazario founded the modern winery in 1997 to bottle the family's own grapes.

The certified-organic estate of 30 hectares works Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino and Passerina, bottling hand-numbered wines under its Cascina del Colle and Masserie Nati labels.
