History
The Mucci family's winemaking reaches back to 1895, when Luigi Mucci — great-grandfather of the current owners — earned his oenology diploma at the Regio Istituto Agrario di Scerni. The modern estate, Cantine Mucci, was founded in 1982 at Torino di Sangro on the Costa dei Trabocchi, and Nicola and Valentino Mucci bought its first bottling line in 1984.
Across about twenty-four hectares the family grows Abruzzo's native vines and Falanghina — being the first in the region to plant and vinify it — with the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Pecorino 'Santo Stefano' among its wines.
