History
The Cornacchia family acquired the fiefs of Torano Nuovo and Torri with royal assent of Ferdinand I in 1488, receiving the baronial title in 1577.
After 1861 Berardo Cornacchia settled the family at Torri; Baron Filippo Vizzarro Cornacchia became the first to make wine commercially, producing Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and winning early national awards in 1932-33.
Today Filippo and Caterina Cornacchia run the estate, now organic-certified.
